Sensory-Friendly Rooms & Spaces
Neurodivergent individuals commonly have hyper- or hypo-sensitivities (light, sound, and temperature) and/or sensory processing difficulties (auditory, visual, and tactile). Research has shown that Autistic & ADHD students’ sensory-related differences may contribute to their overall academic performance and graduation rates. Having a space to take care of sensory needs supports neurodivergent students and their need for emotional & sensory regulation.
