GateWay Community College discloses, in compliance with federal regulations and program requirements, the following information pertaining to enrollment diversity and graduation rates of each campus.

Washington Campus

Diversity of Enrollment

In Fall 2023 enrollment of all full-time undergraduate students in credit programs was 1,057. Of these 63% were female and 37% were male. 2% were American Indian/Alaska Native, 3% were Asian/Pacific Islander, 9% were Black, 55% were Hispanic, 25% were White, 4% were Two or More Races, and 1% were Non-Resident Alien.

Diversity of Pell Recipients

Federal Pell Grant recipients comprised 49% of the full-time enrolled students in Fall 2023. Of these, 67% were female and 33% were male. 81% of the Pell recipients identified themselves as members of a racial or ethnic minority.

Retention Rates

50.45% of the first-time, full-time undergraduate students who enrolled in Fall 2022 returned in Fall 2023. The part-time student retention rate was 28.36%.

Graduation and Transfer Rates

The 3-year graduation rate for full-time students entering in Fall 2020 was 30%. The 3-year transfer-out rate was 20%.

In FY 2022, enrollment of all full-time undergraduate students was 491. Of these 64% were female and 36% were male. 2% were American Indian/Alaska Native, 6% were Asian/Pacific Islander, 9% were Black, Non-Hispanic, 50% were Hispanic, 29% were White, Non-Hispanic, and 0% were Non-Resident Alien.

Federal Pell Grant recipients comprised 29% of the full-time enrolled students in FY 2022. Of these, 63% were female and 37% were male. 75% of the Pell recipients identified themselves as members of a racial or ethnic minority.

Retention Rates

74% of the first-time, full-time undergraduate students who enrolled in Fall 2021 returned in Fall 2022 or completed their program.

Graduation and Transfer Rates

The graduation rate for full-time students entering in FY 2019-20 was 33%. The transfer-out rate was 0%.
