Dr. Amy Diaz Appointed to the National Association for Community College Entrepreneurship Board of Directors

GateWay Community College (GWCC) is proud to announce that President Dr. Amy Diaz has been appointed to the National Association for Community College Entrepreneurship (NACCE) Board of Directors. This appointment highlights Dr. Diaz's dedication to community service and commitment to fostering partnerships between education and entrepreneurship.

"I am honored to join the NACCE Board of Directors," said Dr. Diaz. "This appointment allows us to work together towards a common goal of promoting entrepreneurship and innovation in community colleges nationwide. I am excited to collaborate with other board members and contribute to advancing entrepreneurial education."

NACCE is a national organization dedicated to promoting entrepreneurship and supporting community colleges in fostering entrepreneurial mindset and skills among students. By aiding colleges in delivering entrepreneurial curricula, NACCE contributes to cultivating the next generation of leaders and expands opportunities for individuals and their communities.

The board of directors comprises accomplished professionals from various fields committed to advancing entrepreneurship in higher education.

Dr. Diaz's appointment to the NACCE Board of Directors marks the beginning of a three-year term, during which she will represent GWCC and contribute her expertise to furthering the organization's mission. As a board member, Dr. Diaz will work to develop initiatives that support entrepreneurship education and create opportunities for students to succeed in the business world.

Dr. Diaz has served on multiple community advisory boards, including Big Brothers Big Sisters, Black & Hispanic Achievers, and as the chief volunteer officer at the YMCA of Rock River Valley in Rockford, Illinois, where she strengthened and developed local partnerships. Currently, Dr. Diaz also serves on the Metro Board of Directors for the Valley of the Sun YMCA. 

Dr. Diaz's appointment to the NACCE Board of Directors reflects her commitment to promoting entrepreneurship and innovation in education.
