Maricopa Skill Center (MSC), a short-term vocational training school, is now offering two new certificate training Health Care Programs including EKG Technician and Phlebotomy. MSC’s Health Care Programs offer intense study in health care theory and training used by today’s professionals.
Health Care students are able to utilize and exercise their skills in the classroom for clinical and externship sites in preparing for their state licensure. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, healthcare wage and salary employment is expected to increase 27 percent through 2014. According to WANTED Analytics, the average salary range for an EKG Technician and a Phlebotomist is $35,000-$45,000.
MSC meets the needs of the healthcare industry by offering five critical Healthcare Programs:
- Assisted Living Caregiver
- EKG Technician
- Nursing Assistant
- Ophthalmic Assistant
- Phlebotomy

The programs at MSC provide a variety of industry-driven curriculum, which offers training that may include first aid, CPR, elderly care, medical terminology, diagnostic test procedures, and more. The programs range from two weeks to six months with a starting cost of $300 and up.
