Intellectual property awareness and protection is the focus of a full-day legal seminar presented by renowned law firm, Woods Oviatt Gilman LLP, and hosted by the Center for Entrepreneurial Innovation. The seminar will be held on Friday, April 19, beginning at 8:30am.
“Protecting your IP: Protecting and Enhancing the Value of your Business” will cover the important facets of intellectual property, including patents, trademarks, copyright, and more.
“This seminar integrates important topics of IP law and its recent changes, with important topics of corporate law that are key to business owners,” said Ron Kisicki, CEI mentor and partner at Woods Oviatt. “We are a team of corporate and intellectual property attorneys with combined practice experiences of over 80 years, and we will present these topics in such a way as to make the information easy to understand and useful.”
Also featured during the seminar will be a special keynote presentation by consultant Jack Lengyel. Mr. Lengyel has enjoyed a long and distinguished career in intercollegiate athletics, including as the head coach of the Marshall University football program from 1971-1974, famously portrayed by Matthew McConaughey in the film "We Are Marshall."
Lunch will also be provided. Registration is required. For more information call (602) 286-8950.
