Karen Gross Memorial Scholarship for Radiologic Technology
The Karen Gross Memorial Scholarship for Radiologic Technology was created in honor of Karen Gross, who graduated from the Radiologic Technology degree program at GateWay Community College in 2005. As a student, Karen served as a tutor for others in the program, secretary of the Student Association of Radiologic Technologists, and member of Phi Theta Kappa Society. Upon graduation, Karen became employed as a licensed radiologic technologist at Mayo Clinic Hospital in Phoenix, AZ and was awarded Clinical Radiographer of the Year in 2008. As a radiographer, Karen was passionate about connecting with patients, conscientious about providing quality images, and always excited to meet and support students during clinical rotations.
To her family, friends, and co-workers, Karen had a reputation of being energetic, positive, inspirational, people-focused, deeply caring, and generously giving. She made a positive difference in the lives of many and through this scholarship, her generosity lives on.
