Eliza Olvey Memorial Scholarship

Eliza filled our lives with pure joy!  She was smart, happy and curious about the world around her. Her amazing smile could brighten up anyone’s day! Unfortunately, we lost our sweet Eliza far too soon due to an unexpected illness. 

One way we can honor her life is to help enrich the lives of others. Our family has always valued education and believes in being lifelong learners. Eliza’s parents have both pursued careers that focus on helping others. Her grandmother is a pediatric occupational therapist assistant and is a member of the advisory board for the Occupational Therapy Assistant Program at GateWay Community College.   

The Eliza Olvey Memorial Scholarship was created to help encourage and support students enrolled in pediatric courses within the Occupational Therapy Assistant Program. Students on this career journey will have the opportunity to positively impact the lives of many children. It is our family’s hope that those who receive this scholarship will think of our beloved Eliza along the way and use their skills and talents to help others.
