Physical Therapist Assisting
Do you want to help others rehabilitate from chronic conditions, traumatic events, and illnesses — supporting and guiding them as they improve their mobility and heal damaged tissue? If you enjoy working with people and helping others on the road to recovery, consider enrolling in our Physical Therapy Assisting program. Upon successfully completing this program, you will be qualified to work as a physical therapy assistant in Arizona. This program will also prepare you for the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy certification exam.
This program prepares students to use therapeutic modalities and procedures under the direction and supervision of a physical therapist. You will learn the foundational principles of treatment, patient care, and safety as it applies to physical therapy, how to apply various treatment techniques that are prescribed by a physical therapist's plan of care, lawful and ethical guidelines in making informed decisions, and so much more.
Make it happen! Enroll in the Physical Therapy Assisting program today.
Students at any Maricopa Community College may need to complete courses at more than one of our colleges.
