Massage Therapy

Massage therapists use the professional art of therapeutic touch to facilitate healing in the body. Massage therapy can relieve all sorts of ailments – from physical pain, to stress and anxiety. Medical Massage Therapy

The HUG Clinic has partnered with Medi+ssage, a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of medical massage. They help individuals suffering from chronic pain relief through holistic approaches.

Through its partnership, massage therapy students are providing services for at-risk community members who may suffer from chronic pain to reduce the use of opioid medications. In addition, Medi+ssage has contracted with major healthcare organizations that provide services for underinsured, and underinsured communities that are seismically disadvantaged. Most recently, they have contracted with Veterans Health Administration's (VHA) Community Care Network (CCN).
